In these recent text works I want words to be interchangeable with colour. In A for Elm, I use 5 colours with the 5 ancient Godelic tree names, which are interchangeable with the 5 names of the goddess, and the 5 transitions in her life.
Whether I work with a poet’s words or my own text, I want the words to float into the viewers mind in continually changing sequences. Meaning, like a river, is always in flux.
