Liliane Lijn spoke with Frieze editor Jennifer Higgie about stillness and motion. For decades Liliane set poetry and light into motion both in objects and in space. She has worked with kinetic texts as early as 1962. Her installations induce a physical sense of time, as the elapsing of time becomes visible.
