Serpentine Poetry Marathon
October 18-19th 2009
Curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, and held in the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2009 designed by Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of SANAA over the weekend of 17th and 18th of October 2009.
With the participation of 3 members of the audience, Lijn used her set of Word Cards to play Poem Game.
The aim of Poem Game is to write a collaborative poem. However, when it comes to playing, each player can only place one word down at a time. This means that each player has to continually adapt their imagined poem to the actions and thoughts of the other players.
The Serpentine Gallery will be publishing a book documenting the Poetry Marathon.
