At the same time as Cuttings, I made a series I called Drillings in which I again used repetitive elements or actions (drilling) to generate an energetic vibration in the material. I was interested in the shadows cast by the empty holes which transformed the negative spaces of the drilled holes into positive forms, creating the illusion of solids.

I felt I had created an architecture of the void.
