This book is the most comprehensive monograph on the artist Liliane Lijn to date, published on the occasion of her major survey exhibition “Liliane Lijn. Arise Alive”. Through new research and in-depth discussion with the artist, this book celebrates Lijn’s six-decade career and her multifaceted oeuvre, whose innovative process links art, literature, and scientific thought. Her dynamic practice encompasses sculpture, installation, collage, painting, video, and performance, drawing inspiration from Surrealism, Kinetic Art, ancient mythology, Eastern philosophy, scientific innovation, and feminist thought.

During the exhibition, the catalogue is available at the museum box office and the Walther König bookshop. Additionally, it can be ordered by mail at any time. Please contact versand@hausderkunst.de.
