Power Game, TATE Modern

6 – 7 – 8 December 2019

6 December 18.00-21.00 – Live performance with Liliane Lijn

Tate Exchange

Originally staged during the Festival for Chilean Liberation at the Royal College of Art, London, in 1974, Power Game was recently staged at the ICA, at Baltic in Gateshead, during the AV Festival, in March 2011 at the Arches in Glasgow, in 2012 at the Zabludowicz Collection and December 2019 at TATE.

Power Game at Tate Exchange was part of A Year in Art: 1973, a display at Tate Modern that explores the range of responses by artists and activists to the 1973 coup d’etat in Chile. Taking this tumultuous moment as its departure point, the display demonstrates how artists around the world came together in solidarity networks to express dissent and bear witness.
